THE ZOMBIES' SWEET REVENGE!

For students and families of Singapore American School, the HS Gawad Kalinga service club is proud to present Zombie Run 2023!


YOU BETTER RUN!

 

After a successful return of the Zombie Run following the 3-year wait, the Zombies are back in the flesh and hungrier than ever before. The Zombie Run is a 1.5km fun race across the entire SAS campus. Runners will encounter infested "Zombie Zones" where they have to protect their "lives" from the Zombies. These "lives" are similar to flag football; they are ribbons tied around the waist that the Zombies will attempt to pull off as you run by. This year, we have introduced new flag football belts that will hold our flags – in order to reuse flags for the following years and reduce waste!  Runners will also be able to rest in short safe zones scattered across the route.
Every participating runner (parent or child), will be required to register and pay via our Eventbrite event. Your $50 ticket includes a race pack and admission to Zombie Run 2023. The race pack includes a T-shirt, a race day info sheet, and the flag belt. Various amounts of American candy will be provided for the finishers – in order of finishers. Extra lives can be purchased at the event for $2 each, or 3 for $5. We strongly recommend runners bring their own, LABELED water bottle.


The event takes place on November 3rd, 2023 from 6:30 PM onward. This event will be subdivided into "waves," depending on grade level:​
Wave 1 = Grades 2 and younger (parents required to accompany child) 
SOLD OUT
Wave 2 = Grade 3 and any accompanying adults SOLD OUT
Wave 3 = Grade 4 and any accompanying adults SOLD OUT
Wave 4 = Grade 5 and any accompanying adults SOLD OUT
Wave 5 = Grades 6 and older, and any accompanying adults SOLD OUT

We have now closed the waiting list for Zombie Run, as the date of the event is fast approaching.  See you in 2024!  

Waves are separated by grade level for safety reasons, and also for level of zombie interaction. Waves are limited by capacity for safety as well as the overall scope of the event that we feel we are able to offer as a student-run HS service club. Also, school administration requests that we limit this event particularly for our youngest grade levels due to the nature of the event.  We recognize that some waves may sell out, and we are sorry that we cannot increase capacity any further for this year. We truly appreciate the support of the SAS community, and make sure to register as early as possible!


Wave start times are estimated to be spaced approximately 20 minutes apart, but as this is a new course this year due to significant construction on campus, we will monitor the situation on the day and decide accordingly.  We thank you for your patience and flexibility! 
Thankfully, T-shirt sizes this year range from child's 28 to adult XXL!  Children's sizes match SAS uniform sizing numbers. The size chart can be found on Eventbrite. We WILL NOT offer changes in the sizes ordered. 


Our plan is to have food available for purchase during the event. We will provide updates as we are able.


Race packs will be distributed to classrooms during the week of Zombie Run (Thursday latest). Classroom delivery information is gathered during the ticketing process.


Rain date: Thursday, 9 November. Please be aware that should both race dates be canceled due to rain, there will be no refunds. We thank you for your donation and understanding.
